AT1 completed their second year at the DC Walk, and so far have raised over $15,000 for research! In celebration of the team’s success AT1’s walk team and networking group will be having a happy hour at Ella’s Wood Fired Pizza, one of their team sponsors, located in downtown Washington, DC. All are welcome to come and celebrate with the AT1 Team!

Don’t miss the free DC Improv passes, gift certificates and walk wrap up gifts for team members as well as a raffle for those attending. Look forward to seeing you there! Living with type 1 diabetes has been given a whole new definition! The JDRF Capitol Chapter is working to prove that diabetes is no longer what separates individuals from the rest of the crowd, but instead, what brings them together. The adults with type 1, or AT1, group focuses on bringing together adults living with type 1 as well as with their friends and family for socializing and networking.

The Capitol Chapter AT1 group meets once a month throughout the DC, southern Maryland and northern Virginia areas. If you would like to learn more about upcoming events or want to be on the AT1 mailing list,  contact Sara Pray, Office Manager, at spray@jdrf.org or (202) 465-4115.
