Dollars for Diabetes

The JDRF Capitol Chapter’s Dollars for Diabetes programs are fundraising opportunities designed to be easy fundraisers for businesses that want to support JDRF and our mission to cure type 1 diabetes. The programs are easily executed at NO COST to the participating retail stores or restaurants.

NEW!! Dine for Diabetes Campaign

The Capitol Chapter’s newest fundraising initiative, we’re asking local restaurants to support JDRF by placing a donation card in with a customer’s bill. Customers can add an additional $1, $3, $5 or more to his/her bill to go directly to JDRF.  Proceeds from restaurants you recruit can be directed to your Walk Team!

Sneaker Sales Program

Retail businesses and restaurants can join JDRF’s National Sneaker Sales partners, Advance Auto Parts, Walgreens and Marshalls, by selling paper sneakers for $1 at a cash register or other point-of-sale location. Customers sign their names to the sneakers and store employees can post them around the store during the 3-4 week campaign. (Campaign dates are determined based on the availability of the store.) Proceeds from sneaker sales locations you recruit can be directed to your Walk Team!
