About Dr. Lewis
Dr. Eli Lewis, a world-renowned expert on diabetes, is the incumbent of the Ilse Katz Career Development Chair in Health Sciences Research. His research focuses on improving the transplantation and transplantation therapy of insulin-producing cells in diabetic patients. Dr. Lewis and his research associates strongly believe that now is the time to find a cure that will not require lifelong therapy for diabetics.
Dr. Lewis has been awarded prestigious research grants from several foundations, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Israeli Science Foundation. His scientific research has been presented at worldwide conferences, scientific workshops and medical research conferences.
