Join us for the DC Walk to Cure Diabetes Awards Ceremony!

Teams that raised $500 or more this Walk season will be recognized for their outstanding fundraising efforts and Walkers who raised $1,000 or more will receive a Golden Sneaker Award!

When: Sunday, September 26th
12:00-12:30 pm: Registration & Lunch
12:30-2:00pm: Awards

Where: Smithsonian National Zoo, 3001 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20008
Lunch and Awards Celebration will be held at the Picnic Pavilion located between the Kids’ Farm and the Mane Restaurant.

How can I create a web site for my team?
Ability to create your team’s website will be available in early November.

I have Walk donations, where do I send them?
Please mail them to: 1400 K Street, Ste 725 Washington, DC 20005. Please be sure to include the walker name or team name that the donation should be credited to. Once the check has been received at the JDRF office please allow 48 hours for the online system to reflect the donation.

Is there a Registration Fee I have to pay when signing up for the Walks?
There is NO registration fee to sign up for Walk to Cure Diabetes. You will have the option to make a donation to your team during the registration process, but it is not required.

Is there a fundraising minimum I have to reach to participate?
There is NO fundraising minimum (or maximum) associated with participation. We do ask that every walker try to aim for at least $100, since that is the amount needed to qualify for a JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes t-shirt distributed on Walk Day.

What’s your tax ID #?
JDRFI is a 501(c)(3) organization, EIN#23-1907729. Please contact JDRF staff for a blank receipt to give to donors. All Walk donations are tax deductible. Donors who contribute $250 or more will receive a letter of acknowledgment for tax purposes.
